Dr Adam Case, a post-doctoral fellow working in the laboratory of Matthew Zimmerman at the University of Nebraska Medical Center has earned a K99 award. His research explores the role of reactive oxygen species and free radicals in the communication between the brain and the body's immune system. The K99 is a very competitive grant with only four having been awarded in the state of Nebraska during the history of the grant. Dr Case is a graduate of the FRRBP program and a former student of Prof. Rick Domann. Congratulations to Dr Case for earning this highly sought-after grant!
