Adam Case, a former PhD student and post-doc in the laboratory of Rick Domann PhD is the recipient of the 2014 University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Postdoctoral Pathway to Independence Award. This award recognizes the medical center’s most promising postdoctoral student and seeks to help them transition to an independent career in their chosen field. While a training at the University of Iowa, Dr Case was supported by the Molecular and Cellular Biology T32 training grant, a DOD training grant, the Free Radical and Radiation Biology T32 as well as the close mentorship of Dr. Domann and the faculty in the FRRBP program. His next immediate goal will be to secure funding through a K99/R00 grant. The announcement of this award may be read in full here.
