How did you hear about our program?

I am a Human Toxicology graduate student. As an interdisciplinary program, the Human Toxicology students have the opportunity of rotating and picking lab in any program in Biomedical Sciences. There are quite a few senior students from our program who successfully completed their PhD from Free Radical and Radiation Biology program. I heard from them about the program.

What type of research are you performing?

I am studying radioresistance mechanism in glioblastoma.

What is something that surprised you about the University of Iowa or your graduate program?

I was fascinated to see how diverse the graduate programs are in terms of students from different ethnic backgrounds.

What is your favorite part about being a graduate student?

Waking up every day with the excitement of asking and answering new questions.

What are your favorite hobbies/activities outside of research?

I love playing soccer and travelling.
