Dr. Andrean Simons-Burnett, PhD was appointed as the new Director of the FRRBP program in the Department of Radiation Oncology effective July 1, 2023. She has distinguished herself following her completion of post-doctoral studies in the FRRBP program as a faculty member in the Department of Pathology and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2017.  Her academic contributions  in the areas of immune modulation in Head and Neck Cancer as well as in redox and radiation biology  are significant.  She enjoys funding from the VA and is the Associate Director for Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the HCCC.  She is a devoted mentor with a significant number of graduate and undergraduate students as well as those participating in the MSTP program. We welcome her significant administrative and team building skills and look forward to her working closely with all of our faculty to continue to build our research programs that are well recognized nationally and beyond.
