Garry Buettner, PhD added his fourth article to the @IowaMed Wall of Scholarship. The Award was presented at the Celebration of Excellence in Research, Scholarship, Teaching and Service on April 29 by Denise Jamieson MD, MPH, Dean of the Carver College of Medicine and Kevin Kregel PhD, Executive Vice President and Provost.
To secure a spot on the Wall of Scholarship requires having a research article cited over 1000 times by at least two of three academic citation indices: Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science.
Recognized this time was the article he co-authored with Larry Oberely, PhD in Cancer Research (1979) "Role of Superoxide Dismutase in Cancer: A review. It has over 1000 citations in all of these indices.
