I am from Cedar Rapids, IA, and completed my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at South Dakota State University, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. Growing up just 30 minutes from Iowa City, I was no stranger to the University of Iowa and its strong sense of community. What ultimately drew me to the Biomedical Engineering program, however, was the impactful research being conducted. During my time at Iowa, I hope to expand my knowledge in the area of Biomedical Engineering, guided by my advisor, Dr. James Byrne.
