Application fee reimbursed
All applicants who receive and complete an interview invitation are reimbursed for the cost to apply by the Carver College of Medicine. Fee waivers are also available.
How to Apply
1. Submit through BSP
Applications are managed by the Biomedical Science Program. Visit medicine.uiowa.edu/biomed/admissions for the full requirements and portal link.
2. Interview invitation
Selected applicants receive an interview invitation. All interview costs — including the application fee — are reimbursed by Carver College of Medicine.
3. Complete three lab rotations
During your first year, you rotate through three BSP faculty labs to explore research directions before formally affiliating with a subprogram.
4. Affiliate with FRRBP
Choose the Free Radical and Radiation Biology subprogram and begin dissertation research with your chosen faculty mentor.
